I haven't been close with Christ in a very long time. I feel like something's missing in my life & after a lot of searching, I believe its God. How would I start to have relationship with Him again?

I think you’re right! You’re missing God in your life. And I think the best advice I can give you is to pray. Ask God to show you new things about Him and to help you learn and understand Him and His faithfulness and how mighty He is. I think that you should read the answer I just gave to my previous anon because I think you’re in similar situations! There’s a list of verses that I posted in my last answer and I think they’d really help you out!
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you :)
I’ll be praying for you!
God bless :)

im a Christian but have been feeling a lot of doubt lately. my life isnt in a hard time right now or anything, everything is normal, but i feel so far from God, questioning if Hes there. do you have any advice or verses to read? i pray about it but i feel sad&guilty for feeling this way :(

I’m really sorry to hear that you’re struggling with your faith, I hope that I can be of help! I’ve definitely felt that way before, so I know what’s it like. But at this point in my life I have never been so strong in my faith. God brings so much joy and peacefulness into my life. Some things that I do to keep my faith strong is pray continuously about everything. When I’m worried, stressed out, happy, struggling, thankful, anything- I try to pray about absolutely everything and always tell God how thankful I am. I also try to read my bible everyday. I will admit, there are days that I forget or that I don’t make the time, even though I should. But I try to keep it a daily thing. I also highlight verses that mean a lot to me and I make notes here and there in my bible. I’ll give you some verses that are really important to me!

Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries for tomorrow- not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.No power in the sky about or in the earth below- indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 15:13 I pray that God the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 2:8-10 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live  in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 6:19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

I hope these are enough verses to start you off! If you need some more, let me know! I’ve got plenty more where those came from! If you ever need to talk you can message me off anon and we can talk privately :) I’ll be praying for you, anon!

God bless :)

grassylunatic replied to your post: I wish I was going to Passion 2012 :(

What’s that?

As far as I know, it’s this huge event! I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Acquire the Fire but I think it’s like that but bigger! It’s basically a HUGE gathering with lots of worship and all that! It’s at the Georgia Dome, but I live in Canada, so I won’t be attending :(
Oh, and tons and tons of people from Tumblr have planned to meet up, so that’s another reason why I wish I was going :(
